Sales Tax

Sales Tax

Orders Subject to Sales Tax

By Law Best Line Supply is required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to South Dakota addresses and to an address within New York State. The actual tax amount will appear on the payment page during the checkout process. Sales tax is calculated based on the total purchase price of the order, including shipping and handling. Orders shipped to all other states will not be charged tax.

State Reporting and Use Tax

For South Dakota customers, the tax may be reported and paid on the South Dakota use tax form. The use tax form and corresponding instructions are available on the South Dakota Department of Revenue website. We are required to provide the notice above for South Dakota purchases based on South Dakota law (SB 146) enacted in April 2011.

For New York State customers, the NYS may require you to pay sales or use tax and file a sales or use tax return for certain purchases. Please consult your city, county and state tax rates to determine your applicable sales or use tax.
